Welcome to the AIBS Cyberlearning Webinar Group

This group was originally developed to prepare for the webinar, "Getting Started with Cyberlearning in Biology Classes" which was held on April 22, 2010. It is now being used for follow-up discussions - Please join us.

We are using this group to organize ourselves, share some resources, and get some experience so that we can take the best possible advantage of our time together during the AIBS/NABT/IBP/UCMP sponsored "Getting Started with Cyberlearning in Biology Classes" webinar.

This webinar is targeted to anyone interested in exploring new approaches to teaching and learning biology. You do not need to be from a community college.

Have you joined this group? You will need to "sign-up" for the C3 Community. If you are already a C3 member you can just "sign-in" and you will see an option to join this group near the top of this page.

Once you have joined the group you're ready to get started. We have a list of 4 small things that we would like everyone to do before we get together on Thursday April 22nd @ 3PM EST. Actually, the earlier you do them the better so we can work with the information in preparing for the webinar. You can click on each of the items for more information.

Use the "introduction" discussion to let us know who you are.
Complete the "Cyberlearning survey" - [linked here]
Share 2 web resources using Diigo [more about how to do this].
Use the current event discussion below to share a current event that you would track for class. The C3 students will run with these ideas and we'll share the results during the webinar.
